Team SuperSchools!

Team SuperSchools is a great experience for all children out there.
At Wren Academy we were lucky enough to take part in great fitness activities.  We also had a gold medalist Larry Achike who represents Great Britain.

Everyone had a once in a life time opportunity to meet him and have a photo with him.
Remember to raise money as half of it goes to our PE department.  We are trying to raise money for a roof on the MUGA and half of it goes to charity!

Cake Sale

On Wednesday the 17th of November, a cake sale was held in the restaurant at break time to raise money for Children in Need.  Pupils brought in bought, and homemade cakes, and there was a competition for the best homemade cake!

Inter-house Dance Compition

Last Friday a inter-house dance competition took place in the assembly hall.  Row by row the competitors stepped out onto the stage where they performed their dance routine.  After each performance the judges, who were 3 teachers, would make their decision and the dancers would wait until everyone had performed.  After that there was an anxious wait whilst the teachers decided who won.  In the end a fantastic and amazing dancer in Year 7 called Daphne won!

The Bleep Test

If you are wondering what a bleep test is, it is a test to see how good your endurance is in running. You have to run in between cones and when you hear a bleep sound you have to run to the cones. There are levels and the higher the level the shorter amount of time you have to run to the cones. You keep running until you the point where you can't reach the cones in time before you hear the bleep.

The year 7 girls football match

On Tuesday the Year 7 girls had their first match against St. Michael's.  At half time it was 1-0 to the opposition but then Wren Academy scored with an amazing goal by Lauren causing the finally result to be 1-1. It was a good result for our first match!
