Wren Academy specialises in architecture

Wren Academy specialises in architecture. All are classrooms have huge windows in them for light, safety and also to make sure there is no bullying going on (which has never happened in our school before). Students learn about the school's unique structure during focus days and in ADT (Art Design Technology) lessons. This allows us to learn another interesting subject which other schools don't have a chance to learn.

Children In Need 2011 Update

Charity fundraising enrichment has arranged a cake sale on November 18th for Children In Need - Break time in the restaurant - cakes start at £1.
We would really like you to join in because every penny you give will make a change!
The first ever Children In Need was a 5 minute radio broadcast in 1927, the first televised Children In Need was in 1950.

How good is Wren Academy?

Wren Academy is a great school because they make it exciting for all their students as they are always doing focus days and events where important people visit us. In the 2nd year of Wren Academy (2009), SOPHIE McKENZIE visited us and she talked about her inspiration to writing books like "Girl Missing" and "Blood Ties". Then in the 3rd year of Wren Academy (2010), JOE CRAIG visited us and talked about how you might get stuck in English when the teacher tells you to write a story; so he explained how to make it easier for us when in that situation. He also talked about his "Jimmy Coates" book series.
This is now the 4th year for Wren Academy and we're going to be visited by an Olympic athlete!
Who knows who might visit us next?!

Table Tennis

At Wren Academy, on break times and lunch times you can play table tennis. Each break or lunch a different year and house will play. Anybody can participate, it doesn't matter whether you're a boy or a girl.

Team superschools

Team Superschools visit
On Friday 11th November, Larry Achike, a gold medalist in triple jumping, is coming to Wren Academy. We will attend school in our P.E. kits and do 1 hour of physical activities. At the end of the day we will all meet back in the sports hall. The whole school will take part in this, however not all at the same time. We have each been collecting sponsorships for the last week, half of which will go to our school the rest to a charity that helps children who are naturally gifted athletes to train.
